Gay Graeber was born and raised in the Mississippi Delta. She has a BFA from Ole Miss and an MEd from University of Louisville. She is the curator for the Younger Foundation 18th C. Creche collection. She has always had a passion for visual art and the creative process. Her earliest artistic memory is of painting her Daddy’s prize hunting dog a bright shade of yellow! Gay uses a range of media, watercolor, oil, pastel, encaustic, styrofoam and focuses on light, color and movement. She and her husband, Jack, take travel groups around the world where she fills art notebooks with watercolors of their adventures. These are then transformed in to permanent pieces in her studio in Oxford.
